C\u2019est un plaisir pour moi d\u2019accueillir ma coll\u00e8gue et amie, la Dre Michelle Evison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas Michelle, elle est v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire et interniste certifi\u00e9e par le conseil. Elle a commenc\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re en milieu universitaire et en industrie, dans le secteur de la nourriture pour animaux de compagnie ainsi que dans le diagnostic. Elle est aussi directrice de l\u2019\u00e9ducation v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire et de la sensibilisation pour Antech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour ceux qui ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 entendu Michelle parler ou lu ses publications, vous savez qu\u2019elle ne se limite pas \u00e0 parler des tests diagnostiques dans un vide, mais inclut le r\u00f4le du v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire de premi\u00e8re ligne, des familles des animaux, et des soins v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaires pour la sant\u00e9 des animaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C\u2019est dans cette optique qu\u2019elle soutient les \u00e9quipes v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaires dans la pratique des soins contextualis\u00e9s. Et c\u2019est le sujet de notre discussion aujourd\u2019hui. Allons-y.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ce mois-ci, je suis reconnaissante d\u2019avoir Michelle avec moi sur le balado. J\u2019avais demand\u00e9 sp\u00e9cifiquement \u00e0 Michelle de venir parler d\u2019un nouvel outil num\u00e9rique publi\u00e9 le mois dernier dans JAVMA, un guide digitalis\u00e9 sur le spectre des soins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Je veux parler de \u00e7a parce que Michelle et moi travaillons ensemble en \u00e9ducation pour Antech, et c\u2019est un sujet autour duquel on va discuter aujourd\u2019hui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J\u2019ai eu la chance d\u2019assister \u00e0 une formation avec Michelle sur l\u2019importance du spectre des soins, d\u00e8s mes d\u00e9buts dans cette formation. Au-del\u00e0 des mots \u00e0 la mode, on comprend mieux les outils concrets qu\u2019on peut utiliser pour transformer ce qui semble \u00eatre un jargon en pratique r\u00e9elle, en b\u00e2tissant la relation v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire-client-patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Je voulais aussi que nos auditeurs vivent cette exp\u00e9rience, en commen\u00e7ant par quelques d\u00e9finitions et en comprenant la perspective sur le spectre des soins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bien s\u00fbr, Holly, tu as raison. Parfois, on se perd dans les termes, parce qu\u2019il y en a beaucoup qui circulent, et c\u2019est un vrai parcours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mon mari, le Dr Jason Stull, et un groupe de travail ont publi\u00e9 en 2018 un article sur le spectre des soins, qui a d\u00e9fini ce terme pour la premi\u00e8re fois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il s\u2019agit d\u2019offrir des options bas\u00e9es sur des preuves, combin\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019expertise clinique, pour permettre une prise de d\u00e9cision partag\u00e9e entre le v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire et le propri\u00e9taire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le soin contextualis\u00e9 est un autre terme qu\u2019on entend beaucoup, qui est une extension du spectre des soins. Dr. Ryan has treated small animals, exotic pets, and wildlife in veterinary hospitals across the United States and served as Program Manager for the Smithsonian Global Health Program at the National Zoo in Washington, DC. His professional interests include veterinary public health and abating the spillover of zoonotic diseases from animals to people. Speaking\/presenting topics: zoonotic diseases, vector-borne diseases, parasitology, and promoting &#8220;One Health&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Ryan resides in Ohio with his giant schnauzer, Evan Williams. He is an avid outdoorsman, has thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine and successfully summited Mt. Kilimanjaro. He enjoys wildlife photography and international travel. In May 2023, Dr. Ryan completed his journey to all 63 U.S. National Parks with his 93-year-old Grandma Joy, the oldest person to accomplish this feat. He is an accomplished keynote speaker advocating for LGBTQ+ inclusivity in the great outdoors, mental health, and the power of intergenerational connection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-list-item is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-2aa3ffbb wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-title-1-primary-bold\"><strong>Holly Brown, DVM, PhD, DACVP<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Holly is a veterinarian, board-certified clinical pathologist, and figurative hand-holder. She practiced small animal medicine before, during, and after her specialty training \u2014 grateful to have combined her love of clinical practice and the laboratory diagnostics that support it. Holly remains in the trenches at a general, referral, and emergency practice. She loves making an impact at the interface of laboratory data and patient care. Holly recently transitioned into her new role as Chief Veterinary Educator for Antech Diagnostics \u2014 exercising her passion for delivering education about maximizing diagnostic testing.
